For anyone working with children aged 0-5

Every child is unique, each one different with the potential to be nurtured, cared for, to be supported and championed. This course will consider the vision of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child and reflect on how our provision can create a sense of nurture, wellbeing and resilience through play.

Aims

  • To support delegates in becoming more familiar with the outcomes of the UN Convention Rights of the Child and what they look like in practice
  • To explore ways of promoting resilience, empathy and emotional wellbeing for children aged 0-5
  • To further develop understanding of different types of attachment and the importance of considering and supplying the development of it in our play experiences.

Through sharing a range of practical ideas delegates will :

  • Look at the mental wellbeing and mental health of their children and families
  • Explore a range of strategies that they can use to promote emotional and social wellbeing
  • Consider what impact our Genes have on our emotional and mental wellbeing
  • Explore locus of control, mindset and mindfulness approach to engagement
