Leadership that is committed, competent and respected, is one of the main distinguishing factors between the most and least successful Early Years settings. So if leadership is so important why are we short of so many good leaders?

Maybe it’s because being a leader is one of the most complex and challenging roles. Leadership is concerned with creating the conditions in which all members of the organisation can give of their best. This is quite a task.

This course starts to look at how each one of us can be the best leader we can be. Using a range of activities and her recently published book on Leadership in the Early Years, June will explore what we need to do to help us to look at our own personal style as well as how to create the right climate for positive leadership.
