For those working with children aged zero to six
Calming restlessness, building up close social ties, developing language, communication and listening skills and stimulating sensorial response are each as important as the other. The aim of this training day is to understand Playfulness and how to plan for and respond to every child’s engagement.
Delegates will be enabled to:
- Consider the needs that are shared by babies, toddlers and young children, as well as being alert to real differences between the youngest and the eldest within the years of childhood
- Highlight the importance of care for our youngest children, their sense of emotional wellbeing and nurturing environment
- Explore developmentally appropriate expectations for our youngest children
- Investigate a number of ways to plan for play and engagement, to record the learning and consider the next steps
