No matter if you’ve been training for a while, like sharing new ideas and knowledge or have never delivered training previously, our course will show you how to become a facilitator of learning, not just a presenter.
You will leave this course with a ‘tool box’ fit for any learning situation. You will be a much more informed Early Years Professional as well as having a broad range of new skills and engagement techniques.
You will be actively engaged in a fun, informative and memorable way. You will leave with more confidence, a vast array of ideas to engage your audience and a range of approaches that highlight how to leave your delegates praising your training abilities. You will have more energy and enthusiasm for sharing learning.
Both day one and two will give content for two different training sessions that can then be shared within your staff team, organisation or local authority. Day three will be sharing the teaching techniques, engagement tools and skills and tricks to deliver a fun, active and informative learning experience each time you deliver the courses.
The three day programme will be shaped around;
The CID Approach – Curiosity, Investigation and Discovery
Experiential Learning – Inductive, learner centred and activity oriented learning
Instinctive Play – Intrinsic motivation to engage in playfulness
The emphasis in experiential learning is on the process of learning and not on the product, output or end result. That is not to say that there is no purpose or intention to the play. Experiential learning can be viewed as a cycle consisting of five phases, all of which are necessary;
- experiencing (an activity occurs)
- sharing or publishing (reactions and observations are shared)
- analysing or processing (patterns and dynamics and determined)
- inferring or generalising (principles are derived)
- applying (plans are made to use learning in new situations)
Each day we will explore these ideas.
Delegates will be immersed in the training days as learners would be. One of the main differences is more focus will be made of the various stages of of the day, timings, use of hnadouts, PowerPoint techniques and resources.
